Saturday 26th February – bike ***** – Around Felixstowe including lunch with ‘Emily’ - sunny

The forecast is really good with a couple of days of sunshine with hopefully some breeze but it was light to start with so did my exercises in the sun. Then with no sign of the wind increasing we decided to head out on our bikes for the first time in several days having changed my innertube first. We bumped into our new neighbour, had a chat and introduced him to a couple more neighbours before we set off with picnic packed for Falkenham Church. We were pleased to get away from the traffic in the town centre but we were soon out in the quiet countryside with hardly a cloud in the sky. Down Marsh Lane to Kings Fleet with all the swan yet again grazing in the fields. Then onto Falkenham Church and once again our seat was free and the snowdrops are still giving a great show:) We enjoyed our yummy cheese sandwich for a change, enjoying the peace and quiet. The wind seemed to have increased making it chilly so we decided to move on taking our usual route to Kirton, then Trimley spotting a few deer before taking the tree lined track back. Several trees were down and the path was not too muddy. We had a keep look at the sea where it did not look very windy before heading home for a cuppa and cake. It was nice to be back on the bikes and fingers crossed the wind plays ball tomorrow?
